Lupins in  New Zealand are considered to be wild flowers that are naturally growing and naturally self-propagating in the fields Mackenzie region.  This stunning wild flower is a popular tourist destination in the south of New Zealand at summer times. Though ,they look undoubtedly beautiful, they are considered as an invasive species that threatens the growth of protected plant species in New Zealand by adding nitrogen to the soil which promotes the growth of harmful weeds.
